Amber is enjoying Barbies new house with several new barbies as well thanks to Grandma-s. Kelby and my Dad build this whopper. It's great- but can only be moved from room to room if the room door is taken off of it's hinges. It will be fun for Amber to paint the rooms and decorate to boot!
Actually, I'm having fun too.

What a fun gift! I'm sure it's one she'll treasure always!!
makes me want to play too!!! I'll settle for my daughter though. When can I send her over? Good job Kelby!
Oh my! 20 years ago, I would've been her best friend! My mom built me one when I was little. We got free carpet, tile, and wallpaper samples from the hardware store. I had a blast decorating mine! I hope you'll post a picture of what she does with it! It's amazing, mine was very plain compared to that mansion!
The second I saw that picture, I knew your dad had to be in on it. What a cool toy, every little girl's dream! The question is, why the heck didn't your dad make YOU one of those when we were that age?? all those years you and I played barbies for hours on end, making their houses from bookshelves, dressers, and bricks (remember outside?) ...we could have had Val's version of barbie's mansion. Oh well, we sure did have fun using our imaginations! Good times!
PS. loved your Christmas card:) xoxo
Melissa- I have to say that Amber likes to play OUTSIDE of her house using the furniture, blocks, blankets, and everything EXCEPT the mansion to create her barbies home. My dad was smarter than me and realized that it's the creating that makes it fun... not having some fancy shmancy barbie get-up. We sure had a great time playing barbies for many years... maybe the house will be more loved in the future. Ah, yes, the bricks... and everything else. Glad to hear from you- I need another invite to your blog so I can spy on you again.
