4 Cavities cost $500.00 Merry Christmas

Gavin has 4 cavities. We don't really feel like having baby teeth cavities filled- it seems a waste of 500.00 to protect teeth that are going to fall out soon. So- here is the question? Does that make us bad parents? And are we going to regret not filling those little suckers?

Santa is definitely bringing toothbrushes. And sugarless candy too.

Here are the xray pics- Can anyone- especially our dentist friends out there- give us some advise? We have no idea what we are looking at????

The dentist said the 4 cavities are on teeth K, L, S, T, and priced the fillings as a resin-2 surface, posterior????

Well, I am not a dentist, but I know my parents did that to me when I was a kid (didn't fill a cavity), and I certainly don't think its the worst thing they did.
I would say as long as he's not in pain, not to worry too much.

Don't ask your dental friends, hopefully they all say that dental work is a necessary expense :o)

My opinion. They are definitely there, those baby teeth are not that close to falling out. I'd do it now to avoid doing pulpotomies (baby root canals) and stainless steel crowns if/when they get bigger. With teeth once you have pain it is a much bigger deal. However I don't judge so it's up to you.

Bre- Annies Mark gave us the same advice-- So, Gavins Christmas legos should be headed back to the store and replaced with wrapped xrays. Lucky for him he will recieve both from his ever so generous parents.

That is love.

the only thing I could see is doing amalgam fillings (silver) over the resin (tooth colored) they would definitely be cheaper.
